One of the most engaging groups to emerge from the esoteric '60s was the Incredible String Band. Basically the duo of Mike Heron and Robin Williamson, its sound was comprised of haunting Celtic folk melodies augmented by a variety of Middle Eastern and Asian instruments.
This is among the best examples of European modern music that lays on solid ground of tradition and reaches to new directions, east and west. It was efforts like this that gave birth to Progressive rock.

Indigo was formed in '82 by Gerald Krampl and Norbert Morin as the follow up group of Kyrie Eleison, around singer Anzo.
With his impressive voice he made it possible to try a concept combining prog rock with more commercial pop; several singles with good airplay and one LP was the result.
After Anzo's departure in '88 Indigo continued as a mere studio project of G.Krampl until '93. 3 CDs (Short Stories, Silent Memories and A Collection..) were released in this period.
